IM 062: The Impact of Losing a Parent and Finding Meaning In Your Life | Camilo Maldonado

The financial and emotional impact of losing his father when he was 7-years old forced Camilo Maldonado to mature quickly. After achieving academic and professional success, he co-founded The Finance Twins, a personal finance blog, to live with purpose, meaning, and help others.

Guest Biography

A Latino immigrant raised in poverty by his single mother, Camilo Maldonado overcame tremendous adversity to attend the Wharton School of Business for his undergraduate studies and Harvard Business School for his M.B.A. Today, Camilo is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Finance Twins, a personal finance blog and site dedicated to covering the best practices for personal finance and overcoming financial hurdles like large amounts of debt.

Prior to The Finance Twins, Camilo served as the Chief of Staff at Bonobos, a leading apparel company acquired by Walmart, and as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan. He also serves as an advisor to multiple organizations, both domestically and in Colombia, his birth country.

Camilo and his wife are expecting their first child, and they are excited to focus their love and energy on the lucky baby.
