THE MAX Challenge of New Providence | Losing Weight with Fitness, Community and Motivation

In this episode, Chris interviews Sara Kirsch, manager of THE MAX Challenge of New Providence. If you are looking to lose weight, THE MAX Challenge has the formula to help you reach your goals. Learn about their 10-week challenge that provides the fitness classes, nutrition guidance, community and motivation to get you in better shape. Some members have lost over 100 pounds!

Year Established: 2016
Type of Business: Fitness

1275 Springfield Ave, New Providence, NJ

Local ties: THE MAX Challenge was founded in 2011 by Bryan Klein in Manalapan, NJ. Today there are 57 franchises in New Jersey and 77 total in the US. Sara lives in Berkeley Heights with her husband, two kids, and mother-in-law! Her husband is on the Berkeley Heights Rescue Squad.

Community causes: THE MAX Challenge of New Providence has spent the last two years since their Grand Opening working to support local charities such as the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Hope for Lauren Foundation out of Millburn. Along with the help from their sister center, Union/Springfield, they have raised over $20,000 over the past two years for these organizations.

About Sara: A former high school Spanish teacher, Sara has rededicated her professional life as a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Instructor at THE MAX Challenge. Offering exciting and engaging workout classes at THE MAX, and working individually to help members achieve their goals through great nutrition is her daily goal!

Quirky Stat: Sara was a MEMBER of THE MAX Challenge before becoming an instructor!  She completed her own 10 week Challenge 2 years ago and has made this her fitness home ever since!

Best moment at MAX Challenge: Every single time a 10-week member finishes their Challenge, we take their after pictures and measurements. The way their face lights up when they see their After picture is the BEST moment every single Challenge.

Favorite activity in New Jersey: Without a doubt, going to the Jersey Shore! Sara even hits up MAX Challenge centers down there when she visits!
